GALENA, Kan. —Funeral Mass for Tobe B. (Charlie) Davis, 76 years old, 115 West Sixteenth street, who died at 10:15 o'clock Saturday night at St. John's hospital in Joplin, will be at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the St. Patrick's Catholic church. The Rev. Father Charles Harvey will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest cemetery under the direction of the Derfelt funeral home. Rosary will be recited at 5 o'clock this afternoon and at 7:30 o'clock tonight at the Derfelt funeral chapel.
Pallbearers will be Sam Farris, Dr. Richard Joseph, Dibe Ray, Richard Monsour, Sammy Thomas and Victor Farris. Honorary pallbearers will be George Abraham, Keith Williams, Bruce Thomas, Jim Swartz, James Dines and Sidney Farris.
Born June 14, 1891, in the Republic of Lebanon, Mr. Davis had lived here since 1907. He was a veteran of World War I and was a retired merchant. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Effie Davis, whom he married January 1, 1922, in Joplin; two sons, Dr. Charles S. Davis, Galena, and Robert Davis, Joplin; two daughters, Mrs. William Bock, Manchester, Mo., and Mrs. Robert Edmondson, Joplin; a sister, Mrs. Elias Joseph, of the Republic of Lebanon; and two grandchildren.
