Cayla M. Almy, 19, of Mill St., Tiverton died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Newport, RI, she was daughter of the late Richard A. Almy and Charlene M. (Schweitzer) Almy and her fiancé Robert Genest of Tiverton. A 2011 graduate of Tiverton High School, she was the captain of the cheerleading squad. She was a dietary aide for Sakonnet Bay Manor Assisted Living in Tiverton. Cayla was a loyal daughter and sister who loved her family and friends.
Including her mother, survivors include her paternal grandmother: Elsie (Barlow) Almy; maternal grandparents: George and Sylvia (Jean) Schweitzer; and a brother: Craig R. Almy of Tiverton.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7:30 P.M. prior to the service.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family
