"Ontario -- Oliver Newell, 87, of 326 E. Ralston St., died at a San Bernardino hospital Sunday after two weeks illness. He had been in failing health for 10 years.
Newell, a native of England, had lived in the United States 70 years and in Ontario since 1927. He was a former resident of Drayton, N. D. and a retired carpenter.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Paulson of the Ontario address and Audrey Newell of Santa Monica; a son, Orville Newell of Minnesota; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stone Funeral Home, followed by burial in Bellevue Cemetery. The Rev. Wesley L. Keller of Free Methodist Church will officiate."
