RINGLING Services for Floreine L. Abshire will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will be in Ringling Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Spivey Funeral Home.
Born on Feb. 8, 1923, in Tishomingo, to Ann Elizabeth and Lester Ralph Roberts, she passed away on Nov. 6, 2007, at her home in Ringling at the age of 84. She was married to Jack Abshire. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Jerry Wayne Westmoreland, and her parents.
She was a beauty consultant for Merle Norman Cosmetics for more than 40 years.
Survivors include a brother, W.B. Roberts and wife, Verna Mae; two sisters, Geraldine Liggett, and Jewel Allen and husband, Clifton Cartez Allen; sister-in-law, Betty Roberts, all of Ringling; grandchildren Ian Westmoreland and Sabrina Scholfield; three generations of nieces and nephews; and special friends Darlene Faulkner and Helen Chamberlain.
Bearers will be Cartez Allen Jr., Ralph Duncan, Donie Allen, Alvie Ogle, Joe E. Roberts, Jared Duncan and Bryan Spivey. Honorary bearers are Jack Tipton and Cartez Allen.
