Norman Edward Alander passed away May 21, 2019 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born May, 2 1934 in Portland, OR to Frank and Ellen (Johnson) Alander.

There will be a funeral service at Prineville Funeral Home "Heritage Chapel" June 8, 2019 at 10:00AM. The burial will follow at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville.

He graduated from Crook County High School in 1952. Married Hattie Mae Hamilton in Prineville, OR in 1954.Attended Willamette University and graduated from Oregon Technical Institute.

Norm's work history involved multiple electronics companies for many years. He retired from General Electric Medical Services after 35 years.

He enjoyed traveling, outdoor life, expanding his collections, and keeping current on all political affairs.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA and an avid supporter of their principles. He was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners.

He is survived by his three children,

Steven Alander, Bonnie Myszkowski, Cheryl Burdick, sister Nancy Harder, and wife Bonnie Ray Alander. He was preceded in death by daughter Carol Lee Alander, his father Frank Alander and mother Ellen Alander.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Masonic Lodge 416 Azalea Park Rd., Brookings, OR 97415.
