LAMAR ASHLEY HONEA PATH - Jerry Lamar Ashley, 54, of 804 Elizabeth St. Ext., husband of Sharon Wilson Ashley, died Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Jerry Benjamin Ashley and Joyce Ashley Fields. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and an Independent Truck Driver. Surviving are his mother, Joyce Ashley Fields; his wife of the home; one son Clifford M. Dykes, Jr.; two daughters, Brittany Faith Ashley, and Shannon Elaine Ashley, all of Honea Path; one sister Wanda Taylor of Belton, and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Travis Lamar Ashley. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Troy Crain, Rev. Justin Phillips, and Rev. Benjamin Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family is at the home.
