"Funeral service will be held here Wednesday at 1:30 pm for the late Rev. Campbell H. Barker former resident of the Pentz district. (Butte Co.). Barker who has been living in Sacramento for the last ten years died in the Capital City Monday.

"The body will arrive Wednesday and burial will be in Thermalito IOOF Cemetery under direction of Hamilton Rily.

"Surviors are wife and nine children. Rev Barker was a member of Hilton, Virginia Lodge #312 Odd Follows and a retired Baptist minster. He was aged 74 years. Services will be read by the Rev Rowland of the Eastside Baptist Church." Source: "Oroville Mercury", 12 April 1931.

"Campbell married Fairzina "Gal" Good Hensley, daughter of Lilburn Hensley and Lucinda Good Hensley, on Sep 27, 1877 in Abingdon, Washington County, Virginia. Fairzina was born on Jul 19, 1861 in Scott County, Virginia, USA and died on Jun 11, 1953 in Graton, Sonoma County, California at age 91.

"Mrs Fairzina Barker, 93, who died in Sebastopol, Sonoma County, was the forbear of 171 descendants surviving to the fourth generation is buried Oroville, Butte Co. Funeral service were conducted here for the widow of Rev. C. H. Barker of Oroville and interment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Thermalito. The Hamilton-Riley Mortuary had charge. Mrs Barker was the Mother of Ben H., Seaton, and Ephriam Barker, both of Oroville, C. H. Jr of Chico and Mrs Lily Tregoning of Graton, Sonoma County.

"She also is survived by 64 grandchildren, 95 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. (d 1 1 June 1953, bu 14 June 1953)
