She was born in Cass County, Texas and was the daughter of Oswin Holland and Mary Elizabeth (Hawkins) King. She married Nicholas Oram Blades on June 18, 1862 in Greenville, Texas, and J. E. Wright. She and Nicholas Blades had 9 children. John Oram, Albert Holland, Theodora , Anna I., Ada , Amelia V., Rena V., Nina, and Vivian. Margaret had six brother's John Calab, Robert Hawkins, Thomas Oswin, Edwin Arcadius, Josias Hawkins, William Henry and two sister's Mary Louise and Martha Elizabeth. Margaret was divorced and married Dr. J. E. Wright, a dentist, and they moved to McAlester. After his death she lived in Slaton, Texas with her daughter, Amelia.
