FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Willodean Beasley Shaffar, 71, died Aug. 30, 2003, at the Center Avenue Health and Rehab Center.
Born May 1, 1932, in Camden, Tenn., daughter of the late Harrison and Gaynell Bell Beasley, she graduated in 1949 from Diehlstadt (Mo.) High School. She attended Draughns Business College in Paducah, Ky., and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Sikeston, Mo. She lived in Joplin, Mo., for many years, where she was co-owner of an automobile dealership. She moved to Fort Collins in 2000 and was a former member of the Southern Baptist Church in Diehlstadt.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Deanna Shaffar of Fort Collins and Daniel and Debbie Shaffar of Joplin; one daughter, Nancy Ann Loney of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Harrison Beasley of Dallas, Texas; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry C. Beasley.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Allen Basham of Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Mike Shaffar, Robert Shaffar, Ronald Beasley, Chad Beasley, Harrison Beasley, Tim Beasley and Bill O'Guin.
