George W. Christy was born at Floris, Iowa, May 3rd. 1857 and departed this life January 1st, 1914, aged 57 years, 7 months, and 29 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Ida M. Clark, December 28, 1892. To this union were born nine children, three sons and six daughters. One son died in infancy.
He leaves to mourn his departure, a companion, two sons and six daughters, three sisters, two half-brothers, a half sister, besides a host of friends.
The funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon of last week at the Christian church by Rev. J.L. Masters. A large number of f amily friends were present at the services.
