He married Virginia Guenthner on July 3, 1948, at Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2001.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1946.
Mr. Andres worked for Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Antigo and Merrill as Foreman for 39 1/2 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo.
Ed enjoyed spending time at the cottage with his family. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling, listening to polka music, and gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon (Michael) Ingram of Kronenwetter, Sandra Cahak of Antigo and Jayne (Charles) Paulson of Antigo; three sons, Robert (Gloria) Andres of Antigo, Donald (Teresa) Andres of Bryant and William Andres of Antigo; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Theda) Andres of Appleton; and sister-in-law, Kathy Nonnemacher of Antigo.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charles Cahak; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Andres; a granddaughter, Amber Ingram; and three brothers, Arthur, David, and Eugene.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
