Douglas, Michigan, Russell R. Freshe, 83, of Saugatuck, died Tuesday in Community Hospital where he had been a patient for two days. Born in Michigan City, Indiana, he moved to Saugatuck as a child and was a member of the Saugatuck High School Class of 1910. Following which he moved to Chicago and worked until his retirement as a real estate and insurance broker. Following retirement, he returned to Saugatuck where he lived for the past 21 years.

He was a member of First Congregational Church, Saugatuck: a life member of Saugatuck Lodge 328 F and A.M. the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rites, the Order of the Eastern Star and of Saladin Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S. Grand Rapids;

Surviving are his wife Hazel: two sons, Charles R. of South Holland, Illinois and William J. of Park Forest, Illinois, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Masonic services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thrusday at the Dykstra Sugatuck Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery, in Saugatuck Michigan. Friends may meet the family from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel
