~OBITUARY OF EDNA MARSHALL
Edna MARSHALL, 62, of Hooker, Oklahoma, died November 03, 2007, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.
Edna Mary Carroll MARSHALL was born May 14, 1945, in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, the daughter of John and Nellie Mae Hicks CARROLL. She lived in Cheyenne Wells for several years and then the family moved to Conway, Missouri. She later moved to Hooker, Oklahoma, to live with her aunt Mary and uncle Roy RUSSELL. She attended school in Hooker, graduating from Hooker High School with the class of 1963. She was very active member of the First Baptist Church in Hooker. She was president of the American Legion Auxiliary for several years. She has always been a proud Bulldog Fan, even when her disability stopped her from attending. She kept current on news and events through the Hooker Advance, friends and family by phone. On April 05, 1964, in Hooker, Edna was united in marriage to Carl MARSHALL. They were blessed with two children, daughter Carla Marshall CROW and son Allen MARSHALL.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Carl of the home, her daughter, Carla Marshall CROW and her ex-husband John of Hooker, Oklahoma; son, Allen MARSHALL and his wife, Kimberly of Guymon; one granddaughter, Ashley Jewell MARSHALL stationed aboard USN Emoryland; one grandson, Jaycee Steven CROW of Hooker, Oklahoma; one sister, Arletta HUFF of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; step-sister, Virginia WARE and her husband Jim of Ponca City, Oklahoma; step-brother, Eugene CARROLL and his wife Mara of Pawnee, Oklahoma; fifteen nieces and nephews; twenty-nine great-nieces and nephews; twenty-seven great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nelle May HICKS and father, John W. CARROLL, sister, Shirley Jean Carroll AUDREY, brother, Steven ALLEN, step-mother, Mildred CARROLL.
Funeral Services will be Friday, November 09, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hooker, Oklahoma, with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in Hooker, Oklahoma.
