He married Ida Belle Glosser on November 26, 1885 in Richwood, Union Co., Ohio. They have 7 children: Nellie May, Minnie Lorena, John Webster, Catherine Ola, Jennie Golda, Alma Alice, and a child. His first wife Ida died in 1898. His second marriage was to Mary L. Spain on August 22, 1900 in Marion, Ohio. They had 3 children: Isabelle Elsie, William Dale, and Dorothy Della.
