Gusta Hajek, 89, of Arbor Manor, died Friday at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.
Gusta Vech was born Feb. 1, 1898, in Morse Bluff and grew up in the Morse Bluff area. After marrying Louis A. Hajek on Feb. 12, 1920 in Omaha, she lived at Moorhead, Minn., until moving to rural Cedar Bluffs in 1934. She moved to Fremont in 1952. Her husband died on Nov. 1, 1934.
Mrs. Hajek is survived by a son, LeRoy of Cedar Bluffs; brothers, Louis and Bernard Vech of Cedar Bluffs and Ernest Vech of Morse Bluff; two sisters, Anna Belik of North Bend and Bessie Palat of Cedar Bluffs; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. The Rev. Cynthia Karges of First United Methodist Church in North Bend will officiate. Burial will be in Killian Cemetery west of Morse Bluff.
