Rev. Paul F. Gateman age 76 of Ferndale, Mi. passed away Tuesday May 5th at his home surrounded by his family. Paul is survived by his wife Eve of 52 years, They were College sweethearts Children; Mathew Gateman, Lori (Tom) Koster. Grandchildren; Madeline, Evan, Andrew, Paul and Meredith. Paul was the pastor of Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church for 41 years until his retirement. Under his care Zion became an RIC congregation (Reconciled in Christ) , one of the first congregations to do so in thee Michigan Synod .He did his undergraduate studies at Capital University and went to the seminary at Trinity Seminary in Columbus , Ohio.
