Seth and Mary lost three children in August of 1775 ~
~ Betsey, age 2, on the 8th
~ Seth, age 7, on the 10th
~ Mehetable, age 5, on the 11th
Then Seth, their father, died on the 29th, age 34.
All were descendants of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins.
At the time of her husband's death, Mary was with child and the next May gave birth to another son, also named Seth.
In 1797 she married Lt. Joshua Alden. They had no children.
Her surviving son, Seth, married Sally Snell in 1800 and they had one son, William Snell Alden.
