Mavyn "Mamie" Kleinhans (nee Shumaker), age 85, of Appleton, WI passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Rennes Health and Rehabilitation Center in Appleton.

She was born on December 17, 1935 in Sheboygan, WI daughter of the late Ernest Glenn and Lucille Shumaker. Mavyn graduated from St. Anna Parochial School and Kiel High School. Mavyn married Wilfred Kleinhans at St. Ann Catholic Church in St. Anna on June 18, 1955. She was a loving mother who raised her seven children in Newton, WI. She was an active member of St. Isidore Parish singing in the choir and Christian Mother group. All seven children attended St. Isidore parochial school. She also enjoyed being an Amway distributor, enjoying meeting many people during her sales career.

Mavyn is survived by her children: Bob Kleinhans, Kiel; Kathy (Greg) Koll, Appleton; Judy (Bruce) Koeser, Kiel; Tom Kleinhans, Kiel; Tim (Julie) Kleinhans, Valders; Jane (Paul) Driessen, Kimberly; Maria (Tomoaki) Iishiba, Cummings, Georgia; his grandchildren: Anna (Mike) Peck, Kayla (Ryan) Takatsuka, Erin (Antjuan)Williams, Sarah Koeser, Heather Boyer, Whitney (John) Morales, Hannah Kleinhans, Daniel Kleinhans, Brittney (Justin) Ulness, Courtney (Derrick) Bieberitz, Chelsey (Zach) Goebel, Isiah Driessen, Jordan Driessen, Cassandra (Damien) Calderon and Aurelia Iishiba and 17 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by 4 brothers and 4 sisters and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mavyn was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Glenn and Lucille Shumaker, her sisters Eileen Diller, Charlene Trimberger, Donna Pierce and former husband Wilfred Kleinhans.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 14 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home (815 6th St., Kiel) with Joe Zenk officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in St. Anna.
