Ann entered peaceful sleep on Saturday, May 1st, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Luther; two brothers, John Henry Davis Jr. and Charles Ray Davis; three sisters, Wanda Lee Burks, Mary Elizabeth Chaney and Ruth Mullins; two of her children, her daughter Lisa Lara and her son Jerry Jones; and a grandchild Eric Lara.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Martha Liebel of Mineola and Pearlene Purkey of Mineola; sons, Don Jones of Princeton, Kansas and spouse Jean; Louis Jones and Lisa Peal of Lubbock. Son-in-law, David Lara of Lubbock; Daughter-in-law, Sandy Jones of San Antonio; Grandchildren: Shelly Cantrell; Melissa and spouse Gerald Sutton; David Lara Jr.; Louis Jones Jr.; Ashley and spouse Ketric Sims; Joseph Peal; and Jolee Peal; Great-Grandchildren: Savannah Cantrell; Alexa Sutton; Christopher and Corbin Jones; Autumn and Sheldon Sims; Great-Great Grandchild: Josette Wells Paul; and a great many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00pm Thursday, May 13th, 2021 at Sanders Funeral Home of Lubbock, Texas.
Services will be at 8:30am Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 5302 Elgin in Lubbock, Texas with Pastor Phil Robertson officiating.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the care of Sanders Funeral Home of Lubbock, Texas.
She will be laid to rest to sleep until resurrection morning and the glorious Second Coming of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
The family would like to express deep appreciation to the Seventh-day Adventist Church members and to the caring doctors and staff at Covenant Hospital who all served so lovingly as her caregivers.
