Delva Allen Wheeler was born in Lewiston,Utah on Feb. 4, 1902 to John Julius and Ada Glover Allen. She was the second of twelve children. After several years the family moved to Idaho. When Delva was 18 years old she came back to Lewiston to care for her Grandma, Sarah Jane Glover and help her in her advancing years. Soon she fell in love with Lloyd Wheeler and they were married on March 22, 1922 in Logan, Utah. They had a small farm and Lloyd had built a new home to begin their married life together in. Lloyd and Delva worked side by side to make their farm productive. Over the years they increased the size of their farm and were very successful. After several years of marriage Lloyd and Delva moved ito Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler's home which continued to be the gathering place of the family. All were welcome, and Delva was quick to have supper on the table or a lunch for any who might stop for a visit.
