Steven Edward Barrett was born in Galena Park, Texas in 1952 and sadly passed away recently in Houston at the young age of 69. Steven grew up in the Port of Houston area attending Furr High School where he luckily found his true love Debbie Sue Bryant, (later to become Mrs Debbie Sue Barrett ). Oh what a lucky man he was. Steven enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his us all defending this country during the Vietnam War. Steven was proud of his service to our country and our country was proud of him too awarding him numerous medals and commendations for his service and sacrifices during this war. Among these medals was the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, and the Navy Expeditionary Medal. Thank you for all your service and sacrifices Steven you will not be forgotten. After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy Steven and Debbie returned to Houston where they raised their family and Steven worked for Arkema Houston Plant until his retirement in 2013. Thank you for all your contributions and sacrifices for this country, this community and your family Steven. You will always be remembered.
