James "Jim" Forrester, 74, of Mooresville, passed away suddenly on May 6, 2021 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. He was born on February 27, 1947 in Maryville, TN to the late Robert and Lida (Crooke) Forrester. He was untied in marriage to the love of his life, Cathy Hunt, on March 6, 1971.

Jim had a strong Christian faith and was a member of Full Gospel Church in Mooresville. Jim graduated from Berean Bible College and preached at many churches through his life. He enjoyed writing Christian songs and playing them on his guitar.

Jim worked many years as a welder, retiring in 2009. After retiring, he enjoyed doing lawn care with his son for about 8 years. His biggest pride in life was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jim is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Joann Carson and Robert Forrester.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years; two children; three grandchildren; one sister; and four brothers.

Visitation is on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Spring Hill Christian Center, in Mooresville. Service will follow at 1 PM at the church. Pastor Mark Whobrey will officiate. Burial will be at Mooresville Cemetery.
