Rose Juanita Peterson-Lamb, age 58 of Colonial Beach, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. She was born to the late Washington Woodrow Wilson and Frances Ramona Wilson on June 25, 1958.

Family and friends were Rose's passion and delight. She was born and raised in Indiana and was a Hoosier at heart. She spent her last 15 years enjoying the beaches of Colonial Beach, VA but looked forward to retiring back in her home state of Indiana. She touched a multitude of lives and made friends no matter where she went. A servant to others, she was truly happiest when helping those in need. It is hard to find someone who knew her that wasn't touched by her words and actions. Her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone in just about any circumstance resulted in hundreds of friendships and opportunities in her life. Her greatest joy in the world was her grandchildren of which there were many.

Rose was a jack of all trades: a baker, a florist, a medical assistant, waitress, housekeeper, artist, and entrepreneur. She was always able to come up with a solution to life's problems in the most creative ways.

Rose is survived by her husband of 23 years, Glenn Lamb; two children Taylor Peterson and Kenny Peterson; her step children Sarah Shirey, Stacy Lamb, Heidi Kiskaden and Justin Lamb; and siblings Tom Wilson, Sue Hopkins, and Carl Wilson. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, loving relatives and friends.

Rose requested to be laid to rest beside her mother and father at Washington Park East Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all of those who donated to her funeral expenses.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 24th from 5-9 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 25th at 1 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Glenn Lamb.
