Gerber.- Emanuel, son of Joseph and Magdalena (Kropf) Gerber, was born in West Branch, Mich., Nov. 25, 1918; died of a heart attack at K/W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Feb. 3, 1989; aged 70 y. On June 15, 1943, he was married to Amanda Jantzi, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Ronald Gerber), 3 daughters (Eleanor Jantzi, Karen Jantzi, and Marilyn Clemmer), and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers, 7 sisters, and one grandchild. He was a member of Mapleview Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Feb. 7, in charge of Victor Dorsch and Raymond Erb; interment in Mapleview Mennonite Cemetery.
