Mrs. Lela Ethel Hankins, 82, 808 Wildwood Drive, Russellville, died Sept 12, 1992 at her home.
She was born in Jackson County Tenn. On Oct. 12, 1909 the daughter of Jewell Thomas and Talitha Heady Allen. She was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Woodrow Wilson Hankins.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sept 15 at Young's Funeral Home in Russellville with the Rev.Carrico officiating. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Willis Allen, Thomas Allen, Douglas Allen, Dean Allen, Bill Cowan, and Darrell Hankins.
Surviving are one daughter, Permelia Jean Ramsey, Hopkinsville; three sons, Wilson Allen Hankins, Ray J. Hankins, and Harold W. Hankins, all of Russellville; one brother George W. Allen, Oakville; one sister Cora Cowan, Russellville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
