SANTA MARIA, Calif. — Edith Eckhardt Sheppard, 60, of Santa Maria, was formerly of Davenport and Lost Nation, Iowa, where she had owned a flower shop.
Edie went to sleep in God's arms on Aug. 27, 2013. She was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Davenport, daughter of Raymond Eckhardt and Edna Groenbeek. Edie married Dough Sheppard on May 23, 1998.
Survivors include her husband; son, Kevin (Tiffany) Robertson; grandsons, Branden and Ledgger Robertson; her mother; brother, Gary Eckhard; sisters, Linda (Greg) Gund, Charlotte Mincks, and many nieces and nephews. Edie was preceded in death by her grandparents; father; step-father, Richard Groenbeck, and two brothers, Eugene and Thomas Eckhardt.
