David L. Anderson
Aug 30, 1954 - Apr 30, 2021

Our beloved brother, David Lloyd Anderson, age 66, Osage, MN., formerly of Moorhead, MN., died April 30, 2021, after a brief illness.

David was born August 30, 1954, in Fargo, ND., to Harold and Lucilla (Kragnes) Anderson. He grew up in Moorhead, attended Moorhead schools, actively participated in Special Olympics and graduated from Moorhead High School Special Education program, class of 1975.

In 2003, David moved to the Osage, MN., area. A loyal Minnesota Vikings football fan, he "coached" very loudly and always emphatically announced their weekly wins, even when the score indicated otherwise. Music was a huge part of his life. He loved playing the autoharp and harmonica, along with family musicians, and was a big fan of Elvis and Johnny Cash.

Collecting "treasures," was also a passion. Over the years these "treasures," included: pens, Johnny Cash CD's, and 25 ft. tape measures. David enjoyed going for car rides every evening, enthusiastically whistling, while listening to Johnny Cash. He truly enjoyed life and had a contagious smile and sense of humor.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lucilla; sister, Ardis; brother, Harold; and niece, Luanne.

He is survived by siblings, Bernard Anderson, St. Cloud, FL., Sharon (Larry) Luckason, Osage, Laurence (Karma) Anderson, Moorhead, Ordean (Lisa) Anderson, Gallatin Gateway, MT., Keith Anderson, Moorhead, and Laurie Anderson, Osage; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David was a special gift to his family and friends, enriching their lives in so many ways. David held a very special place in the hearts of many and will be dearly missed.

A private family service will be held and a public graveside service will be held Friday, May 21, 2021, at 3 PM, at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, rural Glyndon, MN.
