A son of James A. Cain and Mary Trout Cain, he was born in Key West, Florida on August 12, 1934. He is also preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Grace Eugenia "Jean" Roberson Cain; and sons, Bert Cain and Paul Cain.
He is survived by his children, Cindy Crawford (husband, Buddy) and Errol Cain; ten grandchildren; fifteen grandchildren; siblings, Richard Cain, Lillis Cunningham, PD Cain, John Cain and Mike Cain; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Following his faithful service in the United States Navy, he became a Minister in the Assemblies of God Church and during his service to the Lord, he assisted in building seven churches, six educational buildings and five parsonages.
Visitation is from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Friday, May 7, 2021, at Abbey Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM; face masks and social distancing required. Interment will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
