Mrs. Betty Lou (Abercrombie) Lee, age 74, of Murrayville, Georgia, was called to her heavenly home by Jesus, on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Betty was born December 15, 1946 in Murrayville, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Earl Abercrombie and Annie (Ellis) Abercrombie.
She was a very gentle and kind hearted person. She loved to bake and cook and enjoyed driving her bus for 44 years. She drove for North Hall, Lanier Elementary School and Chestatee Middle and High School. Her last bus was 3302. She loved her job and the children who rode her bus.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert George Lee, daughter, Tara Sheree Lee; and son, Robby Lee all of Dahlonega, GA; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Rose King and Maddie Welsh; 3 grandsons, John King, Bryson Lee and Tyler Lee; She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
