Obituary
Mable Donathan, age 95 of Lake City, passed away September 19, 2023 at the Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Lake City.
Mable was born January 29, 1928 in Pikeville, Kentucky to General and Nancy (Varney) Chapman. She was united in marriage in 1947 to Ernest Donathan in Pikeville, KY. Ernest preceded her in death in 1996.
Mable enjoyed crafting and love d Jesus and attending church. She loved her family and spending time with them.
Mable is survived by her children: Wayne Donathan, Mike (Joan) Donathan, John Donathan, Carmen (Dennis) Goines, Martha (Brian) Harrison and a daughter in law Debbie Donathan and several grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, Dee (Jenny) Chapman and Doug Chapman and a sister, Marie Thornbury.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Patricia Moffat and Rita Donathan, two sons, Keith Donathan and David Donathan and six siblings.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Wayne VanDuinen officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home and again on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.
