She was born December 29, 1927 to Bertha and Jim Tom Crowell in Four Mile, Mississippi. The youngest of eight children, Alice enjoyed a wonderful life.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Allen.
A resident of Indianola for over seventy years, she was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an active member, helping with Rotary Club and being in the Schwartz Ward Sunday School Class. She was also in the local chapter of the DAR.
Alice is survived by three daughters: Beth Lyon (Rupe), Amy Barron (Greg) and Nancy Morrison (Carl). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Jackie Mulkey, Allen Lyon, Claire Williamson, James Russell, Elise Grenley, John Russell, Alice Myers, as well as eleven great grandchildren.
