Rose was stricken with polio and moved to Malvern during the depression. She married James L. Cornett 4 SEP 1910 in Franklin County, AR. They had 4 children, 3 boys 1 girl - George Jackson, Willie Opal, Martha Margaret and Robert. Her son Robert died in 1938. It was told to me that he died from polio and is buried next to her in Rockport Cemetery but his death certificate shows otherwise. James' death certificate shows he was a miner living in Arizona since 1929 and was a widow at the time of his death.

Rose's middle name is taken from father Spencer's death certificate.

"My grandpa George Cornett used to tell my mom & her siblings that his mother had beautiful long, long black hair & when she got polio she had to cut it all off because she couldn't take care of it anymore because she was so crippled".
