Mr. Mitchell was a self employed Artist and Sculptor, where he did some contractual work with Rubin Donnelly CO. He also had owned and operated Marshall Mitchell Printing and Art Studio. He served on the Springfield Park District.
He was preceeded in death by a daughter, Judith Killen, four brothers, Julian, Harley, Richard and E.P. Mitchell and one sister, Peggy Huddleston. Surviving are two daughters, Kelly Mitchell of St. Louis, MO and Patricia (Husband-Barry) Becker of Springfield, IL: six grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.
