Last rites for Emma Herring at Bethlehem
Last rites for Mrs. Emma Fisackerly Herring of Winona were held at Bethlehem Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon. October 4. She died of an apparent heart attack October 2 at Tyler Holmes Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 83.
A native of Montgomery County, she was the widow of Jackson E. Herring.
Rev. J. A. Wade officiated at the services. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Darnell of Okolona, Mrs. L. B. Barnes, Jr., of Starkville and Mrs. A. B. Blass of Monroeville, Ala.; two sons, Howard Herring of Monroeville, Ala., and Arnold Herring of Winona; one sister, Mrs. Percy B. Jones of Little Rock; one brother, Clarence Fisackerly of Merigold: and 16 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rayford Patterson, Billy Fisackerly, James Montgomery, Jimmy Cummings, Frank Carwile and Kenneth Locke.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
