James B. Sides, a well-known citizen, residing at 405 South Sixth street, died at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an illness of two weeks from typhoid fever. He was born in Lancaster county 64 years ago and for 35 years has been a resident of Reading. He was a heater by trade and was employed for 19 years at McIlvain's rolling mill. His wife and four children survive him - Annie, George, Howard and Maggie. Jacob Sides, a brother, resides at Pottstown. (Lancaster Intelligencer - Feb 2, 1887)
