John Atkinson was born in PA from parents that were born in England. His early years have not been found on census records.
From his tombstone we know that he was in World War I. His WWII Draft Card states that he was born in Butler PA, that he was a salesman and his nearest relative was Mary Atkinson. The 1920 census of North Braddock show him and his wife Margaret at #1229 Kirkpatrick Street. He was an office clerk at an electrical shop. His daughter was 7 years old in 1920, and her name was Mary.
