Preston L. Abrams, 59, of 1523 Bucklevel Road, husband of Allene Weeks Abrams, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Preston C. and Thelma Fisher Abrams. He was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and retired from Solutia, Greenwood Plant. He was a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Scott Abrams of Greenwood; a stepson, Chip Bowie of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Linda Lane of Greenwood; a brother, John F. Abrams of Honea Path; five grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Blyth Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Frank Thomas. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Richard Wood, Bob Abrams, Danny Smith, Charles Woods, Chip Bowie and Danny Culbertson.

Memorials may be made to Mount Bethel United Methodist Church for Spring Fund, c/o Dot Sullivan, 1081 Dairy Road, Ware Shoals, SC 29692.
