Dale was a U.S. Marine veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Ranger United Methodist Church and had retired from General Motors. He enjoyed his garden and time spent with his family camping and going to the beach.
Dale is survived by his wife, Bertha Derreberry Kilpatrick; sons, Glen Dale Kilpatrick and wife, Kathy of Bentonville, AK, Jeffery Kilpatrick and wife, Vickie of Cumming, GA and Patrick Kilpatrick and wife, Michelle of Dawsonville, GA; brothers, Gary Kilpatrick and wife Betty, Jim Kilpatrick and wife, Lou Jean, Richard Kilpatrick and wife, Lorraine and Fred Kilpatrick all of Murphy; granddaughters, Dixie Head, Tamara Kilpatrick, Kelly Myrick and Katie Kilpatrick; grandson, Ben Kilpatrick; three great grandchildren, two step-great grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2015 at Ranger United Methodist Church. Rev. Tim Lee will officiate. Pallbearers will be nephews, Dwayne Kilpatrick, Ricky Kilpatrick, Kevin Kilpatrick, Steve Kilpatrick, Mike Keenum and Joey Ledford. Burial will follow in church cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post #10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post #96 and D.A.V. Chapter #73 and American Legion Post #532 of Hayesville and V.F.W. Post #6812 Hayesville. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM Monday, October, 26, 2015 at Ranger United Methodist Church.
