Chino Resident
80 Years, Dies
CHINO, March 20 - Mrs. Jennie Sholander, passed away shortly after 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in the home of her son Jesner at 720 S. 12th Street. She had been a resident of Chino for 57 years.
Born in Sweden, Mrs. Sholander was 13 years old when she came to the United States to live in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1891, with her husband, she came to Chino, and since 1897 had lived at the family home, only a few feet from her son's house where she died yesterday.
Surviving her, besides her son Jesner, are a daughter, Mrs. Robert F. Richard of Chino; a brother, C. O. Anderson of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. F. J. Bartlett of Des Moines, and a grandson, Robert Sholander of Chino.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the First Baptist Church here, with the pastor, Rev. C. S. Barons, officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Pomona cemetery. Heinauer-Griffith mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
