Ella Ann Whitford Setliff, 66, of Fremont passed away Friday evening, April 16, 2021 surrounded by her family at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro. The family will greet friends following the service. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.

Mrs. Setliff was born on March 23, 1955 to the late Thomas Henry "Pete" and Annie Christine Stancill "Tennie" Whitford.

She was a dedicated teacher with Fremont Elementary School for 27 years, where she touched the lives of many children and families.

She is survived by two daughters, Chrissy Ditchman and husband, Mark of Jacksonville and Rebecca Barbour and husband, Joel of Fremont; three grandchildren, Kayleigh Ditchman and Annsley and Ford Barbour; one brother, Tom Whitford and wife, Diane of Wilmington; her mother-in-law, Katie Setliff of Greenville; her brother-in-law, Marc Setliff and wife, Hyun of Winterville; her sister-in-law, Lora Setliff of Ayden; a special friend and caregiver, Debbie Gray and her niece and nephews that she loved very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gordon Setliff; her son, John Paul Setliff; her father-in-law, Paul Setliff; and her brother-in-law, Victor Setliff.
