Narouz Abdelmalak, 79 of Naugatuck, formerly of Waterbury died peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of Saadia Bibawi Abdelmalak. Narouz was born in Sohag, Egypt on September 17, 1941, a son of the late Abraham and Rachel Abdelmalak.

He came to the United States in 1992 and resided in Waterbury for several years before moving to Naugatuck in 2013.

Narouz was a retired jeweler who owned his on jewelry store in Egypt.

In addition to his wife Saadia, Narouz is survived by two daughters, Mona Malak and her husband Gamal of Waterbry, Hoda Malak and her husband George Sada of Sweden, three sons, Joe Malak and his wife Gellan of Pennsylvania, Ashraf Malak and his wife Mervat of Naugatuck, and Edwar Abdelmalak and his wife Carolyn of Nutley, NJ, two sisters and one brother, Sabah, Sabina and Ramsis Abdelmalak of Egypt, eleven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter in Sweden.

He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters, A funeral service for Narouz will take place on Monday, January 25th at 12:00 p.m. at The Holy Theotokus & Saint Anthanasis Coptic Orthodox Church, 1750 Hucknis Rd., Cheshire.

Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden. The Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven has been entrusted with arrangements. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com
