Melvina J. Welty, 77, of 2527 North Adams, died at 5 o'clock yesterday in a local hospital after a year's illness. She was born May 12, 1862 in Howard county, Ind.
and moved to Hutchinson from Lyons 10 years ago.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. John Blakely of Lyons, and three brothers, W. B. Welty of Lyons, Sherman Welty of Topeka and J. W. Welty of the home.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the Elliott and Gard Funeral chapel with Rev. C. F. Hoffman officiating. Another Service will be held at 2:30 o'clock from the United Presbyterian church at
Saxman. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Lyons.
