STRAWBERRY — Claude C. Harris, 92, of Strawberry died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, in a Batesville nursing home.
Born Nov. 18, 1914, at Strawberry, he was the son of Sam L. and Sidney Richardson Harris. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Florine Huskey Harris; a son, Larry Harris of Strawberry; a daughter, Phyllis Harris of Strawberry; five grandchildren, Kevin Harris of Cave City, Kim McDermott of Mountain Home, Shane Watts of Strawberry, Tally Scott of Batesville and Tanya Haigwood of Newport; nine great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Austin Harris, Claxton Harris and Garland Harris; and a sister, Pearl Godwin.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Dennis Gay officiating. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery in Strawberry.
Pallbearers will be Jared Harris, Levi Watts, R.A. Wright, Robert Northcutt, Kelly McDermott and Randall Northcutt.
Honorary pallbearers are Elbert Gay, Jerry Harris, Patty Huskey, Deborah Randolph, Kenny Lewallen and Billy Runyan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
