He graduated from Forrest City High School in 1958 and the University of Arkansas in 1962. He served in the USAF from 1963 to 1967, Captain, ATC & SAC.
In 1989, he retired from Property Casualty Insurance Auditing, Travelers Insurance Company, Hartford, Conn. He later worked as the office manager at Gayton Terrace Retirement Home in Richmond, Va., retiring in 2006.
In retirement, he enjoyed working on genealogy for his home county, St. Francis County, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his only brother, Donald Isbell of Richmond, Va. He is also survived by a nephew, Donald Blair of Hoover, Ala.; a niece, Kimberley Isbell of Washington D.C., and a great-niece, Madison Blair of Hoover, Ala.
At Paul's request, his ashes were scattered at sea.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
