John Albert Siegrist, died
at 2 :30 p.m. Monday afternoon
at the Holt Nursing Home in
Mt. Pleasant. He had been ailing
several years and was seriously
ill one month.
Siegrist was born May 27,1875 in
Hancock county, Illinois. He lived in Lee County forty years and farmed here. He was married
in March 1898 to Bessie H. Bertschi who died in March 1926.
He is survived by a son Graydon Siegrist of Burlington, four grandchildren, six brothers, Carl, Edward and Charles of Niota, Illinois, Joseph Siegrist of LaRose, Illinois, William Siegrist of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Walter Siegrist of West Point and two sisters, Mrs. WA Nestle , Fort Madison and Mrs. Thomas Thornber, Niota.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 2 p. m. in Clements Chapel with Rev. Walter L Turney presiding. Burial will be at Nauvoo City Cemetery.∼John Albert Siegrist was the son of Adoph Siegrist and Theresa Zachuber Klingeimueller. He was the husband of Gertrude Lucy Wallace. They were married in Chicago, Cook, IL.
