Carl Wayne Adams, 77, of Hurley, MS, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in New Orleans, LA. He was born in Yazoo City, MS, on August 28, 1943 to Thomas Clarence and Eva Lucille Adams. Wayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a Supervisor at Chevron Refinery for 25 years before he retired. Wayne had also owned Hurley Farm and Feed for many years. When he wasn't spending time with his family, you could find him working on various projects and building things. He loved to build and make things out of wood. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lucille Adams; brother, Bill Adams; first wife, Bonnie Adams; best friend, Jesse Craft. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Adams; son, Stan (Keri) Adams; daughter, Cindy Jones; grandchildren, Mark Jones, Ryan Sumrall and Chelsea Adams; brother, Ray Adams; along with other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John M. Egbert officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Serene Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Moss Point, MS. Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Craft, Chris Craft, Ernie McCrimmon, Bro. Lance Sudduth , Gareth Clary, and Trevor Clary. Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS, is in charge of arrangements.
