NORFOLK — Barbara L. "Bobbi" Olmsted Timmer, 75, of Norfolk, formerly of Derby, Kan., died Friday, May 20, 2011.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Peace United Church of Christ here with the Rev. Dr. Richard Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Home for Funerals.

Visitation in Kansas will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Mortuary in Derby, Kan. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Belle Plaine Cemetery, Belle Plaine, Kan.

Bobbi was born on April 15, 1936, in Glen Elder, Kan., the daughter of Leslie and Cecile (Caston) Clark. She was the youngest of 12 children. She was raised in Glen Elder and attended high school. She later earned her GED.

On March 29, 1952, Bobbi married Ramon Olmsted in Newton, Kan. They made their home in Derby, Kan. They had five children from that union. After 27 years of marriage, they divorced. On Nov. 12, 1994, Bobbi married Charles Timmer of Norfolk. After living in several places, they moved to Norfolk.

Bobbi enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, playing cards, Mexican train dominos, fishing and loved to dance. She took great pride in attending and supporting her children at all of their sporting events. She was a member of the "Good Time Bunch" coffee club.

Bobbi is survived by her husband of 16 years, Charlie Timmer; three daughters, Marsha Olmsted, Robin Paterson of Wichita, Kan., and Pam Olmsted of Derby; two sons, Steve Olmsted (Cindy) of Rosehill, Kan., and Todd Olmsted of Derby; two stepchildren, Mark (Christie) Timmer of Rockwell, Texas, and Jill (Brendan) Teehan of Newbury Park, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Doris Williams of Derby, Iris Keely of Wichita and Geneva Kuester of Topac, Ariz.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mona Kay Olmsted; two brothers and six sisters.

A memorial has been established in her name with Peace United Church, 84512 560th Ave., Norfolk, NE 68701.
