Virginia Blaine Welch of Mesquite, Texas passed away on October 17, 2020 at her home at the age of 98. She was born on August 11, 1922 to Samuel and Mary Blaine.

She married L.T.D Welch on February 5, 1939 in Durant, Oklahoma. She worked at Parkland Hospital in the medical records department and was a member at First Baptist Church in Mesquite.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Welch Gresham Yates and her husband Larry. Sons, Johnny Blaine Welch and Glen Charles Welch and his wife Helen Welch. 15 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.T.D. Welch, sons Joe Welch, Paul Craig Welch and Truett Damon Welch. Sisters, Mary Frances Blaine and Nancy Page.

Virginia was better know by all as Grandma Welch. "Lead by example" her Christian Life & shared her Jesus with all. Virginia loved to keep her yard work done by herself for years. Loved her family time and Holidays! Loved her children above all. She loved sharing with the less fortunate and always sent out greeting cards with a hand written letter to all her family & friends on their birthdays and holidays! In her earlier years she was a expert embroider and seamstress. She will be missed by all who knew her.
