Florence P. Watts, 88, died Wednesday, May 28, 1997 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born July 25, 1908 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Sam P. and Ida Harris Divine. She was the widow of Charles Thomas Watts. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Survivors include: one son, Sam T. Watts, Mercer County; one daughter, Glenna Deatherage, Harrodsburg; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren. Three sons, Billy, Kenneth and Orville Lee Watts, one daughter, Louise Watts, five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home, with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
