Mary T. Stevens, age 84, of the Sandy Ridge section of Rt. 2, Cleveland, Virginia passed away Tues. night in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital after a brief illness. A native of Buchanan County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Patton and Isabelle Charles Boyd. She was a member of the Clinch View Freewill Baptist Church on Sandy Ridge and was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Floyd Stevens on February 2,1981. Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Lona Boothe of Cleveland, Tenn., Mrs. Thelma Wise of Huntington, West Virginia, Mrs. Norma Cook of Oakwood, Virginia and Mrs. Virgie Lambert of Dayton, Ohio; six sons, Homer Stevens of Council, Virginia, Andy Stevens of Detroit, Michigan, Elden Stevens and Grady Stevens both of Cleveland, Virginia, Granville Stevens of Cleveland, Ohio and Goebel Stevens of Davenport, Virginia; two sisters, Mrs.

Cora Boyd of Verna, Va. and Mrs. Minda Massie of Shelbyville, Kentucky; three brothers, John Boyd of Morristown, Tennessee, Earl Boyd of Phelps, Kentucky and Lee Boyd of Ohio; 31 grandchildren, 27 greatgrandchildren, 21 step grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Bostic and the Rev. Ancil Childress officiating. Burial followed in the Stevens Cemetery of Sandy Ridge near the home. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Honaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
